Notes

May is Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Ontario. The Sexual Assault Centre of Brant’s 4th annual fundraising walk/run takes place Sunday, May 28, 2017. A staggering 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men will experience sexual abuse, and SAC Brant supports survivors with a 24-hour crisis and support line, counselling, accompaniment and advocacy, and public education and community events.

Use your voice. Use your feet. Raise awareness.

This year, The SAC Run has been renamed “Lynnsie’s Run” in memory of beloved Centre Sister Lynnsie Feijo, who died suddenly on June 30, 2016. Lynnz was the Centre’s first public educator before serving as president of the board, as well as an avid runner.

We could think of no better way to celebrate Lynnsie’s dedication to creating Healing and Change in Brantford and Brant County.
