Purpose of the training: enable front line service providers to recognize and assist a person who may have been trafficked.

Training outcomes

  • Understand the definitions of human trafficking based on international protocols and domestic laws.
  • Understand the scope of international and domestic trafficking within the Canadian context.
  • Review the protocols developed specifically for Brantford, Brant, Six Nations, Haldimand, and Norfolk.
  • Be able to recognize a trafficking situation and make appropriate referrals to the required or requested services.

All participants will be provided with a training guide including local referrals.

What is the cost of this workshop?

The cost of the workshop is $27.11

 

What time does registration start?

Registration is at 8:30am. The workshop starts at 9am.

 

I have dietary restrictions. Can they be accommodated?

The Norfolk Golf & Country Club is catering the workshop.Lunch will be assorted sandwiches and salads. If your dietary needs cannot be met by this menu please let me know by email when you register christina@sacbrant.ca . November 10th is the final day that we can change our order with the caterer.

 

I registered for the workshop, but now I can’t attend. Can my co-worker attend in my place?

Yes. Your co-worker can simply attend on the day of the workshop and let us know at the registration desk.

 

I don’t have access to a credit card to pay my registration fee. Can alternate payment arrangements be made?

Credit card payment through the site is the preferred payment method, please contact christina@sacbrant.ca or 519-751-1164 if this is not possible for you.
